 2023-2024 Parking Permits

Welcome to ECU!!  One of the first questions you may have is, “Where do I park?” If you plan to park on campus, you’ll first need to register your vehicle and purchase a “virtual” permit for a specific zone. There are no physical permits at ECU as registration is identified by your license plate.

The only exception to registration is for vehicles parking in pay spaces such as a visitor parking lot or the parking garage, where the fee is $1/hour.

Vehicle Registration and purchases can be done online through Pirate Port or in person at the Parking office, 301 E. 10th Street. 

How to register your vehicle and purchase your annual permit:

  • Visit ECU PiratePort. You will need your Pirate ID and passphrase.
  • Click the Parking & Transportation module or type Parking in the search box to reach the application.
  • You will need your license plate number, vehicle year, make, model and color.
  • Click Get Permits and follow the directions to select your permit type.
  • Please note, there is currently a waiting list for some parking zones.

We ONLY accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover online.
