Parking for Campus Tours

Welcome Future Pirates!

Visiting ECU’s beautiful campus is the best way to get a good look at college life!  Once you arrive, the first thing you need to do is park!  See the information below about parking for Fall Open House, Academic Days, and general campus tours. Directions to Greenville are also provided. If you have any questions about parking on campus, please call (252) 328-6294.

Fall Open House: October 16, 2021

Parking for the Fall Open House event is at Minges Coliseum, where you will check-in and take an ECU Transit shuttle to campus.  Be sure to follow the instructions you receive with your registration information regarding arrival time and specific check-in location. Directions to Minges Coliseum are provided below.

 

Academic Days

Dates vary for special tours focusing on specific majors and schools. Some tours are virtual, while others are in-person. See the Admissions web site for dates and details. When visiting campus, your Academic Days tour will begin at the Main Campus Student Center. Please use the parking garage located behind the Student Center.  Directions are provided below.

 

Campus Tours

When visiting for a registered, in-person campus tour, please use the parking garage located behind the Main Campus Student Center.  Directions are provided below. You will receive a gate card upon entry. Please bring the card with you so it can be marked for free parking with a special sticker.

 

Group Tours

There are a variety of tour options for schools and other large groups. Please see the Admissions web site for details and registration. Parking will be determined by the number of vehicles or buses in your group.

 

Self-Guided Tours

If you are visiting campus on your own, there are several options for parking. There is a parking garage located behind the Main Campus Student Center. Other visitor lots are on 5th Street at Harding Street, and east of the Rivers Building.  The parking fee for the garage or visitor lots are $1/hour.  A self-guided tour map is available for download on the Admissions web site.

From the Tidewater, Va., Area
Take US 13 from Suffolk to Ahoskie, N.C. Take bypass around Ahoskie (NC 11). Take NC 11 to Greenville. NC 11 turns into Memorial Drive. Turn left onto Farmville Blvd. with turns into 10th Street. Continue straight on 10th Street. Once passing McDonald’s and Krispy Kreme, the student center will be on the left. Turn at that light onto Student Center Drive by the big E C U letters.  The parking garage is straight ahead.

From I-95 North
Take I-95 South to Rocky Mount, N.C. Take US-64 E for 25 miles. Take Exit 487 to NC-33 E toward Greenville. In 17 miles, merge onto US-264 W. which turns into Stantonsburg Road when you reach Greenville. Upon crossing the intersection with NC-13, Stantonsburg Road becomes Farmville Blvd / 10th Street. Continue straight on 10th Street. Once passing McDonald’s and Krispy Kreme, the student center will be on the left. Turn left at that light onto Student Center Drive by the big E C U letters.  The parking garage is straight ahead.

From I-95 South
Take I-95 North to US 264 exit (Wilson, N.C.). Take a right and continue on US 264 past Wilson and head into Greenville. Take US 264 to Allen Road and turn right. Allen Road turns into Greenville Blvd. Take Greenville Blvd. to Charles Blvd. and take a left (ECU message board on corner). Take Charles Blvd. past the baseball stadium, practice fields, and coliseum, to the intersection with 10th Street. McDonald’s, Krispy Kreme and Sheetz are on the corners. Turn right onto 10th Street. The student center will be on the left. Turn left at that light onto Student Center Drive by the big E C U letters.  The parking garage is straight ahead.

From Triangle Area

Take US 64 from Raleigh and head east. Take US 264 in Zebulon and head east past Wilson and into Greenville. Take US 264 to Allen Road and turn right. Allen Road turns into Greenville Blvd. Take Greenville Blvd. to Charles Blvd. and take a left (ECU message board on corner). Take Charles Blvd. past the baseball stadium, practice fields, and coliseum, to the intersection with 10th Street. McDonald’s, Krispy Kreme and Sheetz are on the corners. Turn right onto 10th Street. The student center will be on the left. Turn left at that light onto Student Center Drive by the big E C U letters.  The parking garage is straight ahead.

From Wilmington
Take Interstate 40 northwest to Wallace. Take a right onto NC 51 and head north through Chiquapin and Beulaville (about 20-25 miles). Get on NC 241 in Beulaville and head about 10 miles north to Pink Hill, where you will pick up NC 11. Take NC 11 through downtown Kinston and into Greenville, where NC 11 turns into Memorial Drive. From Memorial Drive you will take a right onto Greenville Blvd. Several car dealerships and the Cracker Barrel restaurant are at that intersection. Take Greenville Blvd. to Charles Blvd. and take a left (ECU message board on corner). Take Charles Blvd. past the baseball stadium, practice fields, and coliseum, to the intersection with 10th Street. McDonald’s, Krispy Kreme and Sheetz are on the corners. Turn right onto 10th Street. The student center will be on the left. Turn left at that light onto Student Center Drive by the big E C U letters.  The parking garage is straight ahead.

Note: If using GPS, be sure to use Ficklen Drive and not Ficklen Street.

From the Tidewater, Va., Area

Take Cotanche, which turns into Charles Blvd., to Ficklen Drive and take a left. Minges Coliseum is up the hill on the right.

Take I-95 South to Rocky Mount, N.C. Take US-64 E for 25 miles. Take Exit 487 to NC-33 E toward Greenville. From I-95 South
